winter weight training
We will be holding weight training in the weight room at FCHS from 6-7:30pm on the following dates. Beyond injury prevention and building muscle mass for the season, this will be a great bonding opportunity and will be led by some of our senior players! Bring shoes you feel comfortable in. We may get to play a little futsol if the space and time allows.
Tryouts and Team Placement
Some notes regarding tryouts and team placement.
A player who has previously made Varsity is not guaranteed an automatic Varsity spot in future years.
Seniors do not automatically make Varsity. Seniors who do not make Varsity may be offered a spot on a lower team or may be cut.
A C-Team will only be formed if there are 60+ players who tryout during tryout week. If we have less than 60 players tryout, some players may be cut. If a player wants to join the program, but knows they will miss tryouts, they must let Coach Deitz know ahead of time.
A players team placement post-tryouts may not be their final placement. Players may be pulled up or pulled down throughout the season based on team needs and player performances.
Tryouts typically take place over three days. However, we hold strength training, compete in indoor leagues, and have drop-ins all leading up to tryouts. These are great ways to get seen beforehand so you feel you've had more time to be seen outside of just tryout week.
